In addition to being a Certified Pastoral Counselor/ACPE Practitioner (Association of Clinical Pastoral Education) I have been endorsed for Institutional Chaplaincy by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the denomination in which I was ordained in 1982. I have served as a hospital chaplain in various settings over the years and hold a special place in my heart for those who are in crisis or those who serve those in crisis – our “first responders.”
Now, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am happy to offer telechaplaincy services via telephone, Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime.
These services are provided absolutely free of charge as an outreach ministry of the church I serve as pastor, Elpis Christian Church, Maidens, Virginia. All I ask is that you consider making a donation to the church if and when you feel able to do so.
Consider Telechaplaincy services if you are in crisis or in need of spiritual counsel yourself, or especially if you are a police officer, firefighter, EMT, healthcare provider, support staff (cleaning services provider, food services provider, security officer, etc.), funeral home services provider, teacher, counselor, or caregiver in any way. Together, we can “comfort each other with the comfort God has provided.”
